Howe Sound is world renowned for its wild natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and the vibrant communities we call home. We value intact ecosystems that sustain and support our communities, our livelihoods, and our diverse local economies.

The proposed Woodfibre LNG project is based on faulty economics, will harm marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and poses an unacceptable health and safety risk for the communities of Howe Sound. This project does not fit our values.

We call on the Provincial and Federal governments to reject the Woodfibre LNG project and its associated pipelines and tankers.

LNG is a polluting fossil fuel that exacerbates climate change: exactly what we don’T need in a climate emergency!?

Building LNG projects in BC is increasing GHGs, harming our natural ecosystems & driving our wildlife species to extinction. For these high-stakes risks alone, we must ban all LNG operations immediately..

I am 100% opposed to this regressive damaging industry of LNG that returns 24/7 water warmed up back into the ocean. Warming oceans are a direct result of climate change. It is destructive and opposite To saving our planet. Protect Howe Sound, the Salish sea and stop this.

Howe Sound only just rebounded from the last round of industrial pollution, and sea life if returning again. And with the threat of Climate Change, why do we want to push hard on this destructive industry?

Rose Dudley This is a money losing project creating few jobs, fuelled by destructive fracking, being pushed through by a company of questionable environmental practices, in a stunningly beautiful place which awes tourists from all over the world. Utter madness! Why not bring in a clean tech company or some other job providing project that would not be harmful to our environment? The rest of the world is well into banning fracking. France banned it in 2011. Wake up Canada!
