Howe Sound is world renowned for its wild natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and the vibrant communities we call home. We value intact ecosystems that sustain and support our communities, our livelihoods, and our diverse local economies.

The proposed Woodfibre LNG project is based on faulty economics, will harm marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and poses an unacceptable health and safety risk for the communities of Howe Sound. This project does not fit our values.

We call on the Provincial and Federal governments to reject the Woodfibre LNG project and its associated pipelines and tankers.

I would like to connect with you to add another concern that people need to be made aware of. I am attaching a video for you to view that will give you some information to start with.

Dawn, and those who join you in the trenches holding government accountable, are my heroes. Blessings upon all to keep you safe, strong, and outspoken.

It is unacceptable that the people and wildlife that travel through, live, work and attend school in the hazard zones are being looked at as disposable! I live in the worst danger zone and my son attends elementary school here. How do we protect them and why is my child and the children of the hazard zones not being protected by our government against these known dangers.

The woodfibre LNG facility compromises an ecosystem in rebound from years of heavy industry. It also contradicts our governments’ climate goals.

I do not support the expansion and exportation of fracked natural gas. It is a sunset industry and we should bid it farewell.

As usual, big companies are granted permission to do whatever they want. The authorities keep on turning a blind eye on social and environmental impact of their activities whilst citizens are blamed on a daily basis for their actions. We are now more than 20 000 sea to sky resident to have raised a voice against this project. WE WANT a change, WE NEED a change, WE NEED YOU POLITICS TO LISTEN TO US CITIZENS who have voted you in.

The Howe Sound unique biodiversity is invaluable. The taxes Woodfibre LNG will pay at completion of the project will never be enough to cover the loss we will suffer. Business as usual is not the solution to climate change.
