As usual, big companies are granted permission to do whatever they want. The authorities keep on turning a blind eye on social and environmental impact of their activities whilst citizens are blamed on a daily basis for their actions. We are now more than 20 000 sea to sky resident to have raised a voice against this project. WE WANT a change, WE NEED a change, WE NEED YOU POLITICS TO LISTEN TO US CITIZENS who have voted you in.


The Howe Sound unique biodiversity is invaluable. The taxes Woodfibre LNG will pay at completion of the project will never be enough to cover the loss we will suffer. Business as usual is not the solution to climate change.

1. Howe Sound is a proposed. World Heritage site.

2. Not enough local jobs.

3. Greenhouse gases.

4. Herring spwning grounds.

5. Tanker traffic by my front door. I live on Bowen Island.

6. Increased pressure on health care providers.

7. Insufficient environmental access ment.

8. Hose Sound has finally returned to the lush and healthy environment after 30 years.

if it goes ahead, this project will increase the catastrophic global impact of climate change. I stand behind the science – we must drastically reduce fossil fuel extraction and use and switch to renewables and conservation.

Having finally after many years Howe Sound is finally clean with Whales and Sea Lions enjoying the sound once more,You are risking turning the water back to being toxic.

Sorely the development at Kitimat will suffice. Please don’t go ahead with this project.

Howe Sound is a recovering eco system after abuses and exploitation in years past .

I have seen how these campsites isolate female workers from home. I have seen and heard the way all men, married included sexually harass and victimize the females in these camps. The worst abuse are the Native young women. Stop this floathell.

I am opposed to Woodfibre LNG as it will increase fracking, worsen climate change, and put the health and safety of Howe Sound communities at risk. Woodfibre LNG also threatens the recovery of our precious Howe Sound ecosystem with direct impacts to herring, salmon, and whales. None of these impacts have been adequately assessed through the provincial environmental assessment process for Woodfibre LNG.

Howe Sound is a magical place, finally recovering from previous pollution from heavy industry in the area. Marine mammals are returning, fish and other aquatic life are flourishing, and mammals along the shoreline are increasing as well.


Woodfibre LNG will destroy this exquisite marine Ecosystem, from noise pollution to LNG spills and the possibility of massive explosions of LNG. Protecting marine ecosystems should be out first priority, not transporting highly flammable LNG through designated Marine Sanctuaries.


The influx of 600 men in a man camp on a barge in Howe Sound will cause even more destruction, with workers flying in and out disturbing the peace and raising noise and air pollution dramatically. We don’t need man-camps in Howe Sound, boozing it up on the weekends or after work. Women will be at risk from male workers who are looking for sex on their days off. 600 men on a barge in Howe Sound is a bad idea. So is fracking LNG and shipping it through this precious marine sanctuary.
