Howe Sound is world renowned for its wild natural beauty, recreational opportunities, and the vibrant communities we call home. We value intact ecosystems that sustain and support our communities, our livelihoods, and our diverse local economies.

The proposed Woodfibre LNG project is based on faulty economics, will harm marine and terrestrial ecosystems, and poses an unacceptable health and safety risk for the communities of Howe Sound. This project does not fit our values.

We call on the Provincial and Federal governments to reject the Woodfibre LNG project and its associated pipelines and tankers.

Our province is under assault – TMX, Site C, fracking, fish farms, old growth logging and LNG to name the worst that I am aware of.

Why are you still not listening to the scientists? It’s immoral and you will be judged by the next generation, many of whom will soon eligible to vote.

Please, time to do the right thing for the sake of humanity.

LNG is not environmentally sound, esp. in the cost to forever damaging water supplies in its production, in the earthquakes such production manifests in surrounding communities, and in the danger of spills. There are greener energy technologies our governments should be encouraging and pursuing to boost the economy and create jobs: wind, solar, geothermal, water turbines. “If you love this planet…..”
