Can you join us for a fun photo action on Thursday February 9th in Vancouver?

My name is Siobhan Winters, and I've recently joined the My Sea to Sky team as their Social Media Coordinator.

I have always been passionate about the wilderness and wildlife. For the last decade I have volunteered with organizations across BC, and I firmly believe that we need to speak up to protect wildlife and their habitat.

Woodfibre LNG will not only harm seals and sea lions, it also threatens the fragile recovery of Átl’ḵa7tsem/Howe Sound—from the herring, to the salmon, to the whales. Everything we love is at risk.

This is a critical opportunity to stop Woodfibre LNG for good.

This Thursday, Minister Guilbeault will be at IMPAC5, a global forum to protect the ocean.

We need to tell the Minister that protecting the ocean means protecting seals and sea lions from Woodfibre LNG.

If the Minister stops Woodfibre LNG from weakening environmental regulations, it could stop the project in its tracks.

Can you join us on Thursday?

WHEN: 8:30am to 10:30am, Thursday 9th February

WHERE: Vancouver Convention Centre (Burrard St Entrance), 1055 Canada Pl, Vancouver BC

RSVP HERE

Make sure to RSVP so we can keep you up to date. We will have seal and sea lion plushies, teal umbrellas, banners and signs. Kids are welcome!

I hope to see you on Thursday, rain or shine!

My Sea to Sky is incredibly proud and grateful to say that we rely on the My Sea to Sky community for small donations that provide the majority of our funding. Since our launch in 2014, we have been funded through personal savings, family and friends; and powered by the passion of our volunteers. Your generous contribution will help us to run our critical campaigns to defend, protect, and restore Howe Sound. Can you chip in?
